Xiaomi has launched a new premium-end smartphone, the Mi 10 Ultra. The phone has been launched in the company’s hme country China to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary in the smartphone business.
The device is a premium segment offering that has been announced with a host of new features, including support for 120W charging and 120Hz screen refresh rate among others. As of now, the phone remains available only in the Chinese market with Xiaomi not revealing any plans to launch it in other markets such as India. With the launch of this device, the series now brings four devices — Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 Lite. Of these, only the Mi 10 is currently available in India.
As for the Mi 10 Ultra, the phone has been made available at a starting price of CNY 5,299 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant of the device is available at CNY 5,599, 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage and 16GB RAM/ 512GB storage variants are available at CNY 5,999 and CNY 6,999, respectively. The phone has been made available in three colours, Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver, and a Transparent Edition.
Mi 10 Ultra: Specifications
Mi 10 Ultra comes with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Underneath, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ paired with 16GB LPDDR 5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone comes with features like VC liquid cooling, multi-layer graphite, thermal sensor array, and Graphene for effective temperature management.
It comes running MIUI 12 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery paired with 120W charging support. The phone also promises support for 50W wireless fast charging. In terms of cameras, the phone gets a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 20-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 12-megapixel portrait sensor and a telephoto lens with 120X ultra-zoom support. The phone also includes a laser auto-focus and a flicker sensor. Additionally, the Mi 10 Ultra also suppors recording 8K videos from the primary and telephoto sensor. For selfies, there’s a 20-megapixel camera as well.
