Top banks in the country provide returns up to 6.3% on fixed deposits at present

 

Top commercial banks in the country currently provide interest rates up to 6.30 per annum on fixed deposits, which come in a variety of terms starting from seven days and going to as high as 10 years. The country’s largest bank by market value, HDFC Bank, for example, provides interest rates to the tune of 2.50-5.50 per cent to the general public, and a higher 3-6.25 per cent to senior citizens, according to its website.
